Meet Brian W. Foddrill – Candidate for Mayor of Clear Lake. 
 
​Brian W. Foddrill is proud to call Clear Lake home. A graduate of Drake University Law School, Brian has built his career as an accomplished attorney, mediator, and small business owner. But more importantly, he is a family man, community volunteer, and neighbor who cares deeply about the people and future of Clear Lake.
 
Brian began his legal career by opening his own law firm in Ankeny before bringing his skills and dedication north to Clear Lake in 2019, where he acquired Stillman Law Firm. Since then, he has continued to serve Iowans through Unbundled Legal Services of Iowa, a practice built on fairness, accessibility, and common-sense solutions. His straightforward, no-nonsense style has earned him the trust of families, homeowners, and business leaders alike.​
 
Beyond the courtroom, Brian’s roots run deep in real estate and development. With more than 25 years of experience as a carpenter, custom homebuilder, REALTOR®, and attorney, he understands the importance of responsible growth and preserving the character that makes Clear Lake special.​
 
Community service is central to Brian’s life. He currently serves on the City of Clear Lake Planning & Zoning Committee and gives his time as a coach and board member for youth shooting sports. His involvement in local, state, and national associations reflects his commitment to being an active, engaged leader who listens and works hard for his community.Family is at the heart of everything Brian does. Together with his wife, Kristian, they raise six children—three his own and three stepchildren—instilling in them the same values of hard work, service, and integrity that guide his career. Whether camping, fishing, sailing, hunting, or enjoying Clear Lake’s rich rock-and-roll heritage and small-town traditions, Brian and his family embrace the lifestyle that makes this community unique.​
